Putting a name to a plane
3rd May 2026

When we received our first aircraft registered G-BXLA from the HUES paint shop in 2025 the only way to distinguish it from the future addition of other aircraft was simply it's registration shown at the back, and nose of the aircraft. This has changed. There is now a very new and unique identifier painted onto every one of our aircraft, current and upcoming. In the form of names. Each of our aircraft have and will be assigned their own name and nose art.
Now, what is the naming convention we are going with? Is it cities, towns, regions, notable people from history perhaps? No, not anything in particular. We are choosing names that we feel represent us and the aircraft in the best way possible.
G-BXLA has been named 'Alfie' and the nose art being made for each of them is all specific to that aircraft. The nameplate of Alfie takes shape as his own unique character painted on the nose, leaping forward with the flag of the Union.
G-BXLB was next. Given the name of Barnaby with again, his own unique character art on the nose. This is something we intend on doing for all of our aircraft, including the upcoming A220-300 fleet that will be received and painted as soon as possible upon release.
The full list of names for our aircraft has not yet been released.
